RED CLOUD (1970), 50 X 36" + Frame


New York's Gregory Perillo (b 1932), Artist of the Americam West, has portrayed Red Cloud (Oglala Sioux) in two paintings. The first painting (1963) is in the Crane American Indian Collection in the Denver Museum of Natural History.

This second painting of Red Cloud (1970) is a "landscape portrait" with an unusual use of color and costume.
